1. The Perfect Fire Button Size and Placement

Many players struggle with knowing the exact size and location of the fire button. In our Custom HUD, we have two options: the primary and the secondary fire button. To make your button powerful, you first need to choose the right size.

If the button is too large, it will be difficult for you to drag the crosshair upward. On the other hand, if it is too small, you can drag the crosshair faster, but your overall control decreases. The sweet spot is a medium size between 40 and 60 to balance speed and stability.

However, position matters even more. Placing the button too high makes close-range drag-shots difficult, while placing it too low causes misclicks. Find the balanced sweet spot in your layout where your thumb rests naturally.

2. Always Use 100% Opacity

One common mistake is reducing the fire button opacity to 0 or making it nearly transparent. Stop doing this! When lifting your crosshair for a headshot, you need to clearly see where to touch in order to execute a smooth drag.

A pro trick is to touch the outer edge of the button to make dragging the crosshair much easier and more consistent. Always keep your fire button at 100% opacity. You will notice an immediate improvement in your matches as soon as you change this.

3. Advanced Dual-Button Configuration

Transform your standard fire button into a high-powered headshot machine using this advanced setup. Head into your Custom HUD layout and select the secondary fire button.

Drag the secondary button to the right side, placing it directly next to your primary button. Set your primary button size to 60, then drag the secondary button so it sits dead center on top of the primary button at the exact same size.

This overlapping technique significantly increases your chances of landing headshots. Keep one important disadvantage in mind: you won’t be able to use held grenades or drag-fire smoothly with sniper rifles like the AWM while using this setup.
